The 23rd annual Southern Comfort Conference (SCC), a four-day symposium focused on supporting and celebrating the lives of transgender people, will be held September 4-8 in Atlanta, Georgia. SCC brings together transgender and allied vendors, authors, entertainers and leaders to the Crowne Plaza Hotel for seminars, on-site activities, and planned day trips centered on transgender people and issues.
"SCC has been providing enlightenment, education and entertainment to the LGBT community for over 20 years," wrote 2013 SCC Chair Alexis Dee in her welcome letter. "We take great pride in producing the best conference of its type. Every year we enlist the best doctors, therapists, make-up artists, electrolysis and laser providers, and many other highly regarded professionals in gender related fields. The many seminars that they present have helped our attendees learn that they are not alone, and there is help out there."
