Following the first ever Trans 100 launch last year, which was co-sponsored by GLAAD, the nominations period for 2014 is now open. The Trans 100 is searching for any activists or advocates that had done diverse and impactful work for transgender people, which includes reducing stigma, ending ostracization, and furthering the social and economic justice for trans people.
The Trans 100 is a list cumulated from open nominations. The aim of this project is to draw attention and recognize the positive impacts that trans individuals and activists have accomplished for the transgender community. The Trans 100 list has brought greater transgender visibility in the media through sharing the inspiring stories behind trans advocacy. The final list will serve as a resource guide for all.
